Software Engineer

<p>Amgen&#39;s Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) service supports over 13,000 desktop instances globally. We are seeking a <b>Software Engineer</b> to design, develop, and maintain automation solutions and cloud applications that enhance VDI operations and user experience.</p><p>You will work closely with service owners, engineers, and business stakeholders to build scalable solutions using <b>C#, .NET, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Graph API, and related technologies</b>.</p><p><b>Roles and Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Develop and maintain applications using <b>C# and .NET 8/10</b></li><li>Build and integrate <b>REST APIs</b> and <b>Microsoft Graph API</b> solutions</li><li>Develop serverless applications using <b>Azure Functions</b></li><li>Create workflow automations using <b>Azure Logic Apps</b></li><li>Design and manage solutions using <b>Azure Cosmos DB</b> and <b>Blob Storage</b></li><li>Implement CI/CD pipelines using <b>Azure DevOps</b></li><li>Develop dashboards and reporting solutions using <b>Power BI</b></li><li>Manage source code using <b>Git</b> and perform code reviews</li><li>Troubleshoot, support, and continuously improve production applications</li><li>Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures</li></ul><p><b>Basic Qualifications</b></p><p>One of the following:</p><ul><li>Master&#39;s / Bachelor&#39;s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field, with <b>5-9 </b><b>years of relevant experience</b></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Strong proficiency in <b>C# and modern .NET development</b></li><li>Experience with <b>REST APIs</b>, <b>Microsoft Graph API</b>, and cloud technologies</li><li>Knowledge of <b>LINQ, JSON, asynchronous programming</b>, and software design principles</li><li>Experience with <b>Git</b> and end-to-end software development lifecycle</li><li>Understanding desktop-system lifecycle, endpoint management, and virtual desktop technologies.</li><li>Experience supporting production applications and troubleshooting distributed cloud solutions.</li><li>Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability and willingness to learn new technologies at a rapid pace.</li></ul><p><b>Technical Skills</b></p><ul><li><b>Languages &amp; Frameworks: </b>C#, .NET 8/10, Entity Framework Core, LINQ, REST APIs, Microsoft Graph API</li><li><b>Azure Services: </b>Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, Logic Apps, API Connections, Blob Storage</li><li><b>Tools: </b>Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Git, NuGet, Postman, Power BI, SharePoint, Lucid chart</li></ul><p><b>Soft Skills</b></p><ul><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li><li>Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.</li><li>High degree of initiative, accountability, and self-motivation.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to software quality.</li><li>Ability to analyze complex problems and develop practical, maintainable solutions.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities successfully in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Strong organizational, documentation, and time-management skills.</li><li>Willingness to participate in code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.</li></ul><p><b>Work Hours</b></p><p>This position operates on the <b>second shift, from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM IST</b>. Candidates must be willing and able to work during these hours, including weekends and holidays when required.</p>
