Job Description

Rackner is a service-based cybersecurity firm delivering mission-critical software for the Department of Defense. As an Application Security Engineer, you will embed security into the development lifecycle, work with cross-functional teams to remediate vulnerabilities, and enhance supply-chain resilience, ensuring robust, compliant solutions for high-impact defense missions.

Roles & Responsibilities

Integrate application-security testing throughout SDLC. Conduct static and dynamic security testing using Fortify and OWASP ZAP. Review, triage and verify vulnerability findings with engineering teams. Embed automated security scans into GitLab CI/CD pipelines. Support software supply-chain security using JFrog Xray and Kubernetes.

Requirements

Active DoD Secret clearance. Strong knowledge of static (Fortify) and dynamic (OWASP ZAP) application security testing. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab, Artifactory, OpenShift. Proficiency in vulnerability remediation and secure code review. B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA in Computer Science or related field, 2020-2024 passout.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and container hardening. Experience with threat modeling and secure design patterns. Certifications such as OSCP, CISSP, or GSEC.
