Engineer I, Embedded Software Design

<p style="margin: 0px;">&nbsp;</p><p style="margin: 0px;"><strong>Role Overview</strong></p><p style="margin: 0px;"><br />We are seeking an experienced Embedded Systems Engineer to lead and contribute to <br />the design, development, and deployment of embedded products for industrial applications. <br />The ideal candidate will have a strong background in firmware architectures, platforms, <br />requirements management, development, products development with protocols, hardware <br />software integration, and product lifecycle management. <br />Key Responsibilities <br />&bull; System Architecture: Define system-level architecture and ensure scalability and <br />reliability. <br />&bull; Protocols Development: Design and develop embedded industrial protocols like <br />ProfiNet, EtherNet, for industrial products <br />&bull; Product Development: Design and develop embedded systems for industrial, <br />consumer or IoT products with protection algorithms <br />&bull; Firmware Design: Develop, test, and optimize firmware for microcontrollers and <br />embedded processors. <br />&bull; Hardware Integration: Collaborate with hardware teams for board bring-up, <br />debugging, and validation. <br />&bull; Testing &amp; Validation: Implement unit tests, integration tests, and automated <br />validation frameworks. <br />&bull; Documentation: Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and <br />compliance reports. <br />&bull; Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and <br />software teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. <br />&bull; Product Lifecycle: Support production, field deployment, and post-launch <br />maintenance.</p><p style="margin: 0px;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="margin: 0px;">&nbsp;</p><p style="margin: 0px;"><strong>Required Skills &amp; Qualifications</strong></p><p style="margin: 0px;">&nbsp;</p><p style="margin: 0px;">Experience -2+ Yrs to 5 Yrs<br />&bull; Education: Bachelor&rsquo;s or Master&rsquo;s in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or <br />related field. <br /><strong>&bull; Technical Expertise:</strong> <br />&bull; Firmware architecture experience for industrial products with connectivity <br />&bull; Strong proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems. <br />&bull; Experience with RTOS, Linux, device drivers, and low-level programming. <br />&bull; Knowledge of Industrial communication protocols (Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, <br />EtherNet IP, ProfiNet, UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, BLE, etc.). <br />Public <br />&bull; Familiarity with ARM Cortex-M/A, DSPs, or similar architectures. <br /><strong>&bull; Tools &amp; Platforms:</strong> <br />&bull; Embedded IDEs (Keil, IAR, GCC, etc.). <br />&bull; Debugging tools (JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analysers). <br />&bull; Version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines. <br />&bull; Additional: <br />&bull; Experience in product development cycles and DFMEA. <br />&bull; Knowledge of safety standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61508) and compliance. <br /><strong>Preferred Skills</strong> <br />&bull; Exposure to Linux-based embedded systems. <br />&bull; Experience with wireless technologies (Wi-Fi, Zigbee, LoRa). <br />&bull; Familiarity with cloud integration and IoT platforms. <br />&bull; Knowledge of power optimization and battery management. <br /><strong>Soft Skills</strong> <br />&bull; Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. <br />&bull; Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. <br />&bull; Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead small teams.</p> <p style="margin-top: 5.0pt; margin-bottom: 5.0pt; margin-left: 0in;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-weight: bold;">Rewards designed for you</span></p><p style="margin-top: 5.0pt; margin-bottom: 5.0pt; margin-left: 0in;"><span><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Our Total Rewards is our way of saying: We see you and we value you.
