As an Engineer I, Software, you'll develop solutions that help our customers make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. You'll contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of sophisticated software applications spanning laboratory instruments, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams including scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software that advances scientific research and laboratory efficiency.<br /><br />REQUIREMENTS:<br />• Bachelor's degree required; no prior experience required in software development<br />• Preferred Fields of Study: Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field<br />• Strong programming skills in Java, Spring, and Hibernate<br />• Experience with web technologies including HTML5, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks<br />• Knowledge of object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and data structures<br />• Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs<br />• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines<br />• Understanding of agile software development methodologies<br />• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)<br />• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities<br />• Excellent written and verbal communication skills<br />• Experience with automated testing and test-driven development<br />• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment<br />• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and innovation<br />• Ability to document technical specifications and processes clearly and effectively</p>
